Volunteer With Hoʻōla

Hoʻōla extends a warm welcome to all volunteers hoping to make a difference in their community. We care for 2-acres of beautiful ʻāina in Waikapu that provides a space for our community and cultural practitioners. A space that will allow them to learn and immerse themselves in a dedicated place to heal. In this space, our community can find and gather essential lāʻau for themselves and their families.

Volunteer Days

As a volunteer with us, you're not just lending a helping hand; you're creating meaningful impact that will live on for generations. You'll be able to work with Hoʻōla staff to care for the lāʻau and mālama our different plots throughout our ʻāina.

We recommend that all volunteers bring clothes that can get dirty, wear covered shoes, and plan for periods of sun exposure (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.). Please use DEET-free insect repellent while on the ʻāina and be sure to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

Come Hoʻōla!
